Hedge Apple Acres

Small farm in northeast Oklahoma.

Overview

At Hedge Apple Acres, we raise beef cattle, hair sheep, meat goats, and honey bees using regenerative grazing practices that focus on soil health, rotational grazing, and long-term sustainability. We're working toward a low-cost, resilient production model—one that not only supports our family but also leaves the land better than we found it.

While we currently market through salebarns, we’re steadily moving toward direct-to-consumer sales, so more folks can enjoy food raised the right way. We're transitioning our herd toward South Poll cattle, drawn by their adaptability and grass-efficiency.

The name comes from the hedge apple tree (Maclura pomifera), a tough, long-lived native that’s always inspired us. Like the tree, we want the farm to be strong, rooted, and around for generations to come.
